RPS executed a major digital transformation for the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). We deployed the FuelMatic RFID System across 3,000+ public buses. This created a fully automated, secure, and traceable fueling environment. This partnership supports RTA’s vision for smart mobility and sustainable operations.
RPS installed an automated ecosystem to eliminate manual steps and secure every drop of fuel. The architecture includes:
- RFID Vehicle IdentificationWe installed passive RFID tags on every RTA bus. The system instantly recognizes the vehicle upon arrival at the pump. This links the asset ID to the transaction automatically.
- Vehicle-to-Pump Authorization FuelMatic uses “handshake” technology between the vehicle and nozzle. The pump dispenses fuel only after validating the vehicle’s tag. If the driver removes the nozzle, fueling stops immediately. This makes the system fraud-proof.
- Seamless Infrastructure Integration Our team integrated FuelMatic directly with existing PumpMatic automation systems. This retrofitting ensured a smooth transition to smart fueling. We avoided a complete overhaul of physical infrastructure.
- Centralized Fleet Management All data flows into CenterMatic management software. Managers view real-time consumption on a centralized dashboard. They can track specific bus performance and generate granular usage reports.
